A Message from our Chairman
Trent Valley DA recently had the honour
of hosting the 2010 Central Counties Regional Meet at Thoresby
Park during the period of 10th -13th June.
This annual event attracted 252 camping units from the region
and by other units from outside the regional boundaries.
All those who attended agreed that
they were treated to a fun packed and entertaining camping experience
for a reasonable outlay.
Feedback I received both verbally on site and by e-mail after
the event from those who attended has been extremely positive.
Many people were full of praise for
the way the event had been organised from their arrival on site
to their departure on the Sunday.
Trent Valley DA began organising this event in late 2008, by forming
a Sub Committee which met every month no matter what the weather
was like.
These members and their partners
are to be congratulated on organising a wonderful event which
proved to be a success for the enjoyment of their fellow club
members.
These Sub Committee members would not have been able to organise
this successful event without the help, commitment, time and energy
that other members put into making this event happen.
It would be wrong of me to mention individual names but I wish
to take this opportunity to publically thank you all for your
efforts no matter how much or how little time you were able to
contribute to ensuring your DA made a success of this venture.
Be assured that your contributions
are recognised by the members at large and the 2010 CCR Sub Committee.
We recognise that you are part of the “Team” and as
such you have ensured that all those who attended had a great
time.
You are a credit to Trent Valley DA, and I thank you on behalf
of the Sub Committee for your support, and look forward to your
continued support going into 2011.
